Heartfelt Gratitude
The health benefits of Olive oil are highly regarded and well known. It is rich in monounsaturated fats, which are known to help reduce inflammation and lower the risk of heart disease. Olive oil also contains antioxidants and polyphenols that have been associated with various health benefits, including improved cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and reduced risk of chronic diseases.
For this and other reasons Garcia de la Cruz has chosen to support 2 charities, the American Heart Association and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Both causes are worthy of course but there is more to the story. The current generation of the family running the business had 3 brothers but one was born with down syndrome and died of complications related to the heart in his twenties.
We proudly display the AHA shield on several of our bottles of Organic EVOO and the NPCF offers our olive oils on their support site. Garcia de la Cruz and the Pediatric Cancer Foundation raises funds through various means, such as organizing fundraising events, donations, and partnering with corporate sponsors.
